Ambulatory Procedures
These are specialist procedures that your GP cannot offer. At SW11 Medical, they are performed in our clinic by a consultant gynaecologist — no hospital admission, no general anaesthetic, and you go home the same day.
Hysteroscopy
from £800A thin camera is used to look inside the womb. This can diagnose and often treat problems like polyps, fibroids, or abnormal bleeding — all without general anaesthetic.
Polypectomy
from £900Removal of uterine or cervical polyps during a single outpatient visit. No hospital admission required.
Endometrial Biopsy
from £350A small tissue sample is taken from the lining of the womb for laboratory analysis. Quick and performed in the clinic.
Colposcopy

We typically offer same-week appointments. In many cases, we can see you within 1–2 days. We understand that gynaecological concerns can be worrying, so we aim to see you as quickly as possible.
Your consultant will take a detailed history, discuss your symptoms and concerns, and perform any necessary examination. If an ultrasound or other investigation is needed, this can often be done during the same visit — saving you time and a return trip.
Unlike many clinics where a sonographer performs the scan, at SW11 Medical your ultrasound is performed by the consultant gynaecologist. This means the person interpreting your results is the same specialist making your diagnosis and treatment plan.
These are specialist procedures — such as hysteroscopy, polypectomy, and colposcopy — that are performed in our clinic under local anaesthetic. You don't need a hospital admission or general anaesthetic, and you can go home the same day. These are procedures your GP cannot offer.
